Summer Update

Well, it has been quite a while since our last update here and as most of you know, we have good reason for that. Since the last post, Katie's family came to visit, we had some of the warmest weather Homer has ever seen, we've been fishing (although never enough in Grant's opinion), and went to Colorado for 2 weeks to get hitched. For those of you who have gone through the wedding planning thing, you know it takes an incredible amount of time and thought. We were extremely fortunate in that Katie's mom is an exceptional planner and detail-oriented person so our tendency-toward-procrastination selves did not ruin the entire affair. Needless to say, the last month before the wedding we were taking care of a lot of last-minute things. We are happy to report the wedding celebration was absolutely perfect and better than we imagined. We are very blessed with amazing family and friends who sure know how to have a good time!

Katie took a class in Soldotna so Grant spent the day fishing while the Reds were running.  He limited out in less than 2 hours. Not bad for a rookie!

And we did have to go back to work...at least my coworkers are the greatest!
